easy brown sugar banana bread

This yummy banana bread is easy to make, and delicious...
 


 
To Start:
 
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Grease loaf pan
- Gather the following:
 
  • 2 bowls (1 large & 1 medium)
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • White flour (2cups)
  • Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Baking soda (1 teaspoon)
  • Butter or margarine (1/2 cup)
  • Brown sugar (3/4 cup)
  • 1 large egg
  • Vanilla (1 tablespoon)
  • 3* ripe bananas
- Begin:
  • In one large bowl combine
    • 2 cups of flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • In another bowl combine
    • 3 ripe bananas (peeled & mashed)
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • In a measuring cup, measure out 1/2 cup of butter (or margarine) and soften (30seconds in the microwave) and then add 3/4 cup brown sugar {& mix}
  • Add brown sugar  mixture to banana mixture and stir
  • Then add wet mixture to dry mixture and fold them together with a spatula until blended
  • Pour batter into loaf pan
- Optional Topping:
  • Melt 1 ½ table spoon of butter (or margarine)
  • Add hand full of whole uncooked oats and a hand full of brown sugar
  • Mix and crumble on top of banana loaf batter
- Bake at 350°F for 60-65 minutes (until knife comes out clean )
 
NOTE: If you have an older oven you may want to rotate the banana load 30 minutes in to ensure it is baking evenly
 
- Cool on rack for 10 minutes, Serve & Enjoy
