dirty hair 'do's'

So we have heard it time and time again...”you need to train your hair!”... you need to do what?!? Yes ladies, train your hair. As some or most of you might already know this entails us to not wash our hair for several days at a time, leaving us greasy looking and maybe even feeling a bit dirty.

A lot of us out there can’t stand the way our hair looks and feels after just 24 hours unwashed, but 2-3-5 days with no shampoo... yiks! But I have good news... it really isn’t that scary!  I have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve for you ladies who don’t want to or have the time to wash your hair every day and who love the idea of the easiness’ of a wake up and go hairstyle.

use your head

Carissa Floppy Hat
nasty gal $43.48

Its all about using your head this season to aid in beating the   heat and the sun of the hot summer weather and pool side parties.

Although some of you think that hats should be a thing of the past, they can prove to be your best friend this summer if you give them a chance. They will save you from unforeseen sunburn, heat stroke, and possible sun poisoning.

wish list

Well ladies and gents... this is the beginning of my 'wish list'. I believe that making and keeping a wish list visible can and will help you to obtain what you desire. Whether it be simple items like a book or extravagant items such as a Prada bag, writing things down and keeping them visual will help you to stay focused on what you are working to obtain.
This method can work for everything and anything you want. It could be to finish your schooling and get your diploma or it could be to pay off your debt and save for that new Jeep you have had your eye on. Whatever your wishes may be, keeping a list of them will help you to move forward in life and get what you want.
I  strongly believe you get what you deserve, and you deserve what you work for. Keeping that in mind, we all know things in life don't come free... or cheap for that matter, so knowing you are working toward a goal makes things a lot easier and 'worth while' for some people.

baskets, bonnets & bunnies

With only a few days left until Easter I am sure I have a few girls starting to wonder what they are going to be wearing to their weekend functions.

If you are anything like me you will probably need three days worth of outfits with all the family and friend functions you will be attending. Whether it is a Friday night fish fry, a back yard Easter egg hunt, or Church and dinner on Sunday I assure you that you will find something to wear, and look very cute and stylish while doing so!

transitional season

With spring weather in the air, teasing and taunting us, one problem we all seem to be facing is what jacket is the best for us, our wardrobe, and our bank accounts. Whether you live in the east or the west provinces, Canadian weather is always a guessing game.

April 1st

Canadian living... it is April 1st, and when I went outside today I was greeted with 17 degree weather, beautiful cherry blossom trees, tulips, dandelions, dog walkers, joggers, tennis players, and children playing in the local parks. This is a far cry from what they are experiencing on the East Coast.... Blizzards, snow warnings, wind warnings, school closure, and city (town) closures.

a haute mess signing off

As I sit here with my morning cup of coffee, and get caught up on my latest Canadian fashion bloggers, I come across Niki Blasina's {A Haute Mess} post for the day.... she is leaving the blogging world! What!!!! Her and A Haute Mess will no longer be making daily post on http://www.ahautemess.ca/. She referred to this decision as a |break up|; as she has been able to form a relationship with her readers over the years. This break up however, is not ending on bad terms... it is simply ending because it is time....
