The Paris hair care company
La Biosthetique partners again with Vancouver based fashion stylist
Gian Carlo Umahon from
Lady Fashion Style for a show last night held on the
Britannia from
Harbour Cruises & Events.
"La Biosthétique Paris stands for highly effective premium cosmetic products."
For over 50 years La Biosthetique has been a family
owned company, and prides themselves on being environmentally friendly using
natural raw materials as well as guaranteeing the 'highest degree of
tolerability'. La Biosthetique originated in Paris by a French biochemist by
the name of Marcel Contier, who developed products that were 'pure,
natural and effective'. The brand travels the world showcasing their newest
collections, and can now be found in the following countries: Austria, Benelux,
Denmark, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Asia,
America, Canada, Eastern Europe, and Russia.
Gian Carlo is the brilliant mind and stylist
behind Lady Fashion Style which specializes in personal styling,
fashion show styling/ production, visual merchandising, model development,
fashion editorial, commercial and much more. Gian Carlo was hired on by La Biosthetique (Tom; business partner, Marc Reise; creative director & Anna Reise; lead makeup artist)
to do all the fashion styling for their show here in Vancouver BC on Sunday
April 13th, 2014 as well as the show that was held in September 2013. The team
at La Biosthetique pitches their vision and theme to Gian Carlo, and from
that point Gian Carlo is able to incorporate his creative genius and visions
into the show.
For this show Gian Carlo brought in fashion
styles from international company Ever New, Vancouver based fashion
designer RozeMerie Cuevas from Jacqueline Conoir, NEW fashion designer Franz Patrick Albana
from 40Decibels, and jewellery designer Carolyn Bruce from The
Painted Cookie. Gian Carlo also
brought on Vancouver base fashion student, designer, and stylist Jerome Insorio
from Label Deficiency to help pull, fit and style for the show, as well
as myself (fashion student, upcoming designer, and stylist) to help with
wardrobe , dressing, and final looks.
Gian Carlo and Jerome really were
able to bring La Biosthetique’s vision to life with their day to night looks,
as well as the punk segment, and the surprise finale staring Franz Patrick
Albans’s designs from his company 40Decibels.
The show, like everything else in
life had a few glitches, but if I must say so myself the styling was perfect
and the brands were well represented. It was an absolute pleasure to work with
Gian Carlo, the La Biosthetique team, and the brilliant designers behind
40Decibels and The Painted Cookie.
I have attached a few different photos
from the show, as well as links to all brilliant people who helped to make the
show a success.
